Bio
I earned a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Northwestern University studying the role of protein ubiquitination and the APC/C complex in Drosophila melanogaster. After research and teaching post-doctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School, I committed my career to innovative and culturally responsive teaching in the STEM classroom and laboratory. In addition to teaching, I help 小蓝视频 create and nurture internal and external partnerships that support a safe and inclusive experience for all students, help faculty and staff do their best work, and amplify 小蓝视频鈥檚 role in the science ecosystem of the region. I am a founding member of the Initiative for STEM Education, Equity and Ethics (iSE3), a co-PI of 小蓝视频鈥檚 NSF Advance grant working towards achieving gender and racial equity for STEM faculty, and a co-faculty advisor for he Underrepresented Students in STEM (USS) student group.
