Bio
Irina Yankovskaya earned her degree in Linguistics and Teaching at Immanuel Kant State University of Russia (Kaliningrad, Russia). While at Kant State, she taught English at a local high school. In 2008-2009 Irina was awarded a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship for Russian at California State University, San Bernardino, where she conducted conversation and tutoring sessions for students enrolled in an independent study of the language. Upon Fulbright program completion, Irina has become an accomplished language instructor for English at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences, while also taking postgraduate classes from the Moscow State Linguistic University. Irina's research interests include discourse and gender, Russian as a Foreign Language, environmental sustainability and public policy.
