Pete Kurtz-Glovas is the Deputy Director of Regional Partnerships at the Polarization and Extremism Research and Innovation Laboratory (PERIL) at 小蓝视频. He has expertise in topics relating to the field of political extremism in the United States including white supremacist movements, anti-LGBTQ+ violence, and anti-democratic movements. Prior to joining PERIL, he worked for 7 years in Housing and Homelessness where his work intersected with Public Health including responding to the Covid-19 Pandemic within the houseless population of Seattle and offering services in ways that were safe and accessible. This experience now informs his work at PERIL as the lab seeks upstream, whole-of-community responses to prevent political radicalization and violence in the United States. He has had research published in the Penn State Journal of Public Policy, and through the Global Network on Extremism and Technology. He has previously appeared in Insider and The Seattle Times, and on the air with KUOW and KOMO.
