Collaborative Workroom Reservations
Welcome to Bender Library! Current 小蓝视频 students are able to reserve Collaborative Workrooms in the Library during the Fall and Spring semesters, from 11am until 11pm Sunday - Thursday, and 11am-9pm Friday - Saturday.
These rooms are intended for in-person group study sessions, NOT for:
- Individual Study
- Job Interviews
- Video or phone calls
- Office hours and tutoring sessions 鈥

To view study room availability and make a reservation, please follow the steps below.
- Go to
- Use the navigation tools to select the date of your reservation.
Note: Reservations are only available up to one week in advance. - Using the booking grid, pick which room you would like to study in, and the time you would like your reservation to begin. By clicking on the name of the room you can learn what resources are in it, and find a description of where it is in the building.
Note: Graduate Research B54 & B55 are located in the GRC and are only accessible to graduate students. - At the bottom of the page, use the drop-down menu to select when your reservation will end. Reservations can be up to 3 hours long.
- Press the blue 鈥淪ubmit Times鈥 button.
- Fill out the form using an 小蓝视频 (@american.edu) email address and fill out all required fields.
- You will receive an email asking you to confirm your reservation. Click the link provided there to reserve.聽
- On the date of your reservation, you will be sent a reminder email.
If you no longer need your reservation, please cancel using the link in the confirmation email to allow others to book the room. For collaborative workroom reservations, if your group is late by 15 minutes or more, you forfeit your reservation.
Health & Safety
In order to foster a safe study environment for all students, we will be following聽the聽小蓝视频 Forward Health and Safety Plan.聽Some key points are listed below, but we encourage you to read the plan in its entirety before coming to campus.聽We thank you in advance for following these guidelines, as we all聽work to foster a聽Community of Care聽on campus聽together.聽聽
- Wear a Face Covering at All Times:鈥疶his includes while outdoors, unless you are alone in your residence hall room or private office.聽
- Self-Screen and Report Daily:鈥疘f you will be joining us in-person, daily self-screening and reporting through the 小蓝视频 portal is required each day that you will be on campus.聽
- Stay Home If You Have Symptoms:鈥疘f you are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19 or if you have been in contact with someone that has COVID-19, do not report to campus. Self-isolate and notify the university through the 小蓝视频 portal.聽
- Report Confirmed Cases:鈥疌onfirmed cases must be reported to the university through the 小蓝视频 portal's COVID-19 Resources page.聽
- Wash Your Hands Often:鈥疻ash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.聽
