City Teaching Alliance Launches New Academic Partnership with 小蓝视频
City Teaching Alliance, an innovative,听nationally听recognized teacher development and听certification听program,听is pleased to announce听that it has expanded its听relationship听with 小蓝视频鈥檚 School of Education. As听academic and strategic partners, 小蓝视频 and City Teaching Alliance (formerly known as Urban Teachers) will听facilitate听a curriculum听that听delivers听state-of-the-art teacher preparation听鈥斕齣nstilling听knowledge and听coaching aspiring teachers听to transform communities through rigorous, engaging, and culturally respectful education.听The 2022 cohort will be the first to matriculate under the new听partnership and receive a听Master of Arts in Teaching,听conferred by听小蓝视频.
A shared commitment to preparing teachers through an equity-based, anti-racist pedagogy is a cornerstone of this new partnership.

City Teaching Alliance was founded in 2009 by educators who observed that far too many teachers arrive in urban classrooms unprepared to create sustainable careers and substantial impact on their school community.听
The new partnership will not only provide a grounding in high-quality instruction, but also focus on teaching with an understanding of and appreciation for a child鈥檚 community and culture. Professors selected for their student-centered approach to learning and experience in urban public education will deliver graduate courses including 鈥淩ace, Culture, and Equity in Urban Education鈥 and 鈥淭rauma Informed Teaching Practices.鈥

Participants in the听rigorous four-year City Teaching Alliance program听are prepared听to become career听teachers听who accelerate student achievement and disrupt systems of听racial and socioeconomic inequity听in听urban school systems.听
