Evelyn Thimba Vice President, Undergraduate Enrollment Management

Evelyn Thimba serves as the Vice President for Undergraduate Enrollment at 小蓝视频 in Washington D.C. Evelyn oversees undergraduate enrollment and retention efforts, including enrollment marketing, undergraduate admissions, financial aid, student success and retention. She serves as a member of the President鈥檚 Cabinet and Council. Evelyn joined the leadership team at 小蓝视频 after serving as the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management at Drexel University where she also sat on the President鈥檚 Cabinet and the President鈥檚 Executive Council. At Drexel, Evelyn provided strategic direction and leadership successfully enrolling undergraduate and graduate students and co-leading student success efforts that served over 24,000 students.

Evelyn has committed her career to creating access and promoting opportunity in higher education for students who have historically been disadvantaged and under-represented in higher education. With over 20 years of experience in college admissions and enrollment management and having successfully enrolled right-fit students to private research universities, Evelyn has worked with students and their families to demystify college admissions both nationally and internationally. Evelyn is the founder of the College Access Leadership Institute at NYU, a residential college leadership program that works to develop, mentor and empower the next generation of College Access Ambassadors. A similar program, College Access Academy, was launched at Drexel University.

Thimba has served on several boards, including serving as Chair of the ETS TOEFL Board, member of the Board of Trustees for DVSF and West Catholic High School. Further, Evelyn serves on the US News Deans Advisory Group. She is a frequent presenter on various topics related to higher education and enrollment, leadership and international education presenting at The National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), and other regional chapters (NJACAC, PACAC), International Association for College Admissions Counselors, The College Board Forum, along with several international based conferences.

Prior to her tenure at Drexel University, Evelyn worked at New York University for 16 years where she served as Associate Dean and Director of Admissions. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management concentrating in Organizational Leadership from New York University.
