Alexius Pearson (She/her) obtained her BA (16’) and MS(18’) degrees in Criminal Justice at North Carolina Central University (NCCU).

Bio
Alexius started her career in survivor support by serving at a local domestic violence and law enforcement agency. In her most recent role, Assistant Director in Multicultural Student Affairs at NC State University, Alexius honed in on her ability to support students with various identities (e.g., racial identities, socio-economic status, marginalized or underserved groups, gender and sexual identities, Fraternity and Sorority Life and other culturally diverse organizations).

Throughout her career she has been a pillar in many communities creating several professional and student development series to help patrons build or regain confidence to transition into life beyond (i.e., college or trauma) or assisting patrons ability to center their own needs of neurodivergent and general mental health support.

She brings to the СÀ¶ÊÓƵ family six plus years of service in the non-profit and higher education sectors. Her experience spans into legal advocacy and interpersonal response coordination with specializations in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention services for community members that have experienced interpersonal violence e.g., relationship violence, sexual violence, and stalking. She is trained in crisis management: emotional support, resource navigation and referrals, safety planning, Title IX investigation procedures, civil and criminal procedures, etc. In addition to direct support, Alexius has a plethora of experience in workshop facilitation, training, and program development.

Alexius is excited to join СÀ¶ÊÓƵ’s Center for Well Being Programs and Psychological Services to continue her passion for community engagement, prevention, programming, and advocacy through the lens of oppression, anti-racism and interpersonal violence as she supports students understanding their options as they navigate healing and recovery.
