Bio
Kimberly Lorjuste (she/her/hers) is a fierce advocate for women and underserved populations. Her passion for creating connections and experiences that uplift, improve, and build communities has shaped her career and the values she holds dear.

Upon graduating with her BA in English and Philosophy, Kimberly went on to earn her MA in College Student Personnel Administration from Seton Hall University. For several years within several capacities, from Instructor to Counselor, Kimberly continually served collegiate institutions by empowering and equipping students to show up as their best selves and tap into their fullest potential.

Prior to coming to 小蓝视频, Kimberly, a Program Coordinator at The George Washington University, served on the inaugural DEI committee for the Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Here she played an integral role in cultivating a more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and socially conscious atmosphere within the graduate school's overall reach and presence.

As a Black woman and first-generation college student, Kimberly uses her lived and professional experiences to inform her educational practice. She is an 小蓝视频x Instructor and Academic Advisor, whose holistic and appreciative approach to teaching and advising fosters an authentic learning experience that inspires students to think critically about various discussion topics, themselves, and the world around them. Understanding that 鈥渆mpathy without equity is empty,鈥 she respects, embraces, and empowers the diverse identities of her campus community so her students feel a sense of belonging, which is the foundation for community and ultimately, retention鈥攑articularly during the first-year experience.

Kimberly is a devoted wife and mother of two. In her spare time, she loves to watch all things Marvel, dabbles in baking, and she laughs A LOT!
