Want to Register to Vote in DC?
If you live on-campus in a residence hall, at Frequency apartments, or in off-campus housing in DC and would like to register to vote in Washington, DC, here's how to do it.ÌýSame-Day Registration is available at all Vote Centers duringÌýthe Early VotingÌýperiod and onÌýElection Day.ÌýYou must bringÌýÌý(see instructions below). If you need a ride to the polls, please email auvotes@american.edu to request one free Lyft code (up to $20) to use on election day (while supplies last).Ìý
- :ÌýOct. 28 – Nov. 3, 8:30 am - 7 pm. You may register and cast your ballotÌýatÌýanyÌýEarly Vote Center.

Step 2. Receive your Ballot and Vote
Once you receive your ballot, your state may have specific rules on how to vote. States my require youÌýto submit copies of yourÌýID,Ìýhave the notarized signature of a witness,Ìýand/orÌýseal the envelope in a prescribedÌýway.ÌýPay attention to these rules and the deadline by which the ballot must be received or postmarked.Ìý

Absentee Ballot Days at the Library is an event designed to assist you with the absentee voting process. Held at the СÀ¶ÊÓƵ library, this event provides resources and support for those who need help with requesting, completing, and submitting absentee ballots. Whether you're voting for the first time or need assistance with the process, our knowledgeable staff will be on hand to guide you through each step. We will also provide notary services!Ìý
