The TQ Co-Op is currently accepting new clothes and unsed makeup only.

Mission: Our mission is to聽provide free and sustainable resources for聽trans, non-binary,聽gender non-conforming, gender-questioning聽and聽queer聽students in a safe, affirming, and cooperative manner.聽Fostering members of our communities鈥� freedom to authentically express聽oneself聽through clothing聽and fashion聽strengthens聽our community and聽therefore the聽小蓝视频 community聽overall.聽Dedicating private, non-stigmatizing聽physical聽space聽for students to聽swap unwanted clothing creates a sense of聽gender聽affirmation,聽gender euphoria, and community care.聽聽

Vision:聽We hope to be supported by the University聽in preliminary funding聽as well as our peers聽and community members聽through donations聽and collaborations聽with Family Weekend.聽We聽plan聽to provide binders to any student who requests one without financial聽constraints.聽Although housed within the university, we want to operate as a collective. As a collective, we hope that community members will voluntarily take autonomy聽and initiative to meet their common needs聽by donating un-used clothing and makeup.聽The Center for Diversity and Inclusion will provide support, guidance聽and resources. However, we聽ultimately聽want our community members to have creative influence and聽input as聽the space聽is created for and dedicated to them.聽

How it works: Clothes, makeup, and supplies聽in the TQ Co-op聽are completely free. There is a changing area within the space for privacy. There is also room for聽friends to join you inside the space in case you want to do a聽full fashion聽show!聽The space itself has two doors. The first door requires swipe access get in. Once through the first door, the clothing and sitting area are located in there. There is a second聽door that locks from the inside where the changing room, vanity, and makeup are stored.聽This聽set up聽is ideal for safety聽and security.聽

Our hope is that our wider 小蓝视频 community will offer donations to keep the TQ co-op consistently filled. Our trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming and queer community is also encouraged to give donations. Folks can either take something to聽keep, or聽bring it back to the co-op for others to use, like a shared closet.聽聽

We also hope to fundraise so we聽can聽purchase higher priced items such as professional wear that may be less likely to be donated, as well as size inclusive apparel.聽We want our space to be usable to as many folks as possible聽as much as possible.聽
