Eugene Cheigh
SJD Candidate
Eugene Cheigh is a S.J.D. Candidate at 小蓝视频 Washington College of Law. Her doctoral research focuses on liability in international environmental law under the supervision of Professor David Hunter. The dissertation is investigating what is liability and whether this norm is applicable and necessary to address the environmental damages caused by climate change.
Ms. Cheigh received her first law degree and master鈥檚 degree from Sookmyung Women鈥檚 University. During her master鈥檚 course, she won a prize for excellence in the international thesis contest sponsored by Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Korean Society of International Law. Her master鈥檚 dissertation was 鈥淎 Study on the Cooperation of in response to Transboundary Air Pollution in Northeast Asia.鈥 The dissertation was introduced in the Korea International Law Review.
Ms. Cheigh received her second master鈥檚 degree (LL.M.) in international legal studies from Georgetown University Law Center. She published a paper in the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy as a student comment.
