2024听Housing Information

The Washington College of Law does not provide housing for Summer Program participants.

In previous years, participants have chosen to stay in the 小蓝视频 Dormitories or have found housing on their own. Please ask your specific program if on-campus housing is available.

DORMITORY OPTION: East Campus

小蓝视频听dorms have been reserved for participants attending听some听Summer Programs.听

East Campus听houses students in single rooms with private bathrooms.

Each floor community has a central lounge space with a kitchen, lounge furniture, and television for students to study or socialize with their community. Each floor also has a laundry room. Steps away is East Campus Market,听a grab-and-go style food market.

Here is a . The tour includes some decorative items and a MicroFridge to show what the room looks like when occupied, but these items are not included in rooms.

Please note that in the shared kitchen, there is听a microwave and an oven but no cookware. Additionally, refrigerators are only available for听rent, and information on that process can be found on:听. Refrigerator rentals听need听at least one听week's听advance notice.听

小蓝视频 is conveniently located less than a mile away from the Tenleytown-小蓝视频 metro stop and the University offers a free shuttle from main campus to the metro and to WCL throughout the day.

Please note that听housekeeping is not available. Additionally, 小蓝视频 only provides linens, a blanket, pillow, pillowcase, and a small towel.听听If you prefer a larger towel or hand towel, please bring one with you.听

How to book a room

Registration Process:

  • All participants must use the registration link听specific to the program that you are interested in. Please visit their听webpage.听
  • The Housing Registration Portals听are currently open.
  • The Housing Registration Portals听will close on Friday, April 26听at 5pm Eastern.
  • Payment in full via credit card is required to complete the registration process.

When can I check-in?
Summer students may check in at the front desk any time after 3:00听P.M. on the assigned check-in date. The front desk is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Present your photo ID to the front desk staff and they will give you your guest card.听

What time is check-out?
Check-out is at 12:00 P.M.听on the last day of your reservation.

Are all of your residence halls air-conditioned?
Yes, all of the residence halls come equipped with air-conditioning. 小蓝视频's Temperature policy states that rooms will be cooled to 76 degrees Fahrenheit, plus or minus 2 degrees (23.3 - 25.5 degrees Celsius).听

Is housekeeping available during my stay?
No, housekeeping is not available.

Does university conference & guest services provide cleaning equipment and supplies for residents?
No. University Conference & Guest Services assumes responsibility for the cleaning of common area and community spaces while the responsibility for the cleaning of student rooms and/or suites remains with the students of that unit. Students are encouraged to supply their own cleaning materials in order to maintain a healthy and safe living condition in their unit. Our office and staff do not provide vacuum cleaners or other cleaning supplies. Failure to do so may result in cleaning charges assessed at the time of checkout.

How many laundry machines are on each floor?
Each floor of the residence halls has approximately two-three washers and dryers.听

No, meal plans are not available for summer WCL students.

Are refrigerators provided on East Campus?
No, refrigerators are not available in the East Campus dormitories, however, you may rent a refrigerator by visiting听. Students who rent a refrigerator are responsible for paying all applicable fees to My Fridge Rental and coordinating delivery/pick-up directly with the company.

Can my family & friends stay on campus as well?
No, on campus housing is not available for family or friends.

I am over 21, can I bring alcohol into the residence halls?
No, alcohol is not permitted in any 小蓝视频 residence hall.

What are the rules for smoking on-campus?
小蓝视频 is officially a tobacco and smoke free campus.

Is East Campus ADA听accessible?
Yes, East Campus听is accessible for individuals who require mobility accommodations.

How secure is the campus?
Our residence halls are only accessible to summer guests with a Summer 2024 Guest Card, or a One Card for students living on campus. Also, the residence halls are staffed with campus hosts at front desks on each side of campus. Additionally, our public safety officers patrol campus regularly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Are you nearby a Metro stop?
Yes, we are closest to the Tenleytown/小蓝视频 Metro stop. The university shuttle runs directly from that Metro station to the campus and is complementary for 小蓝视频 students, faculty, staff, interns, and summer guests.

Do you provide linens?
Linens, a blanket, pillow, pillowcase, and a small towel are provided for students.听If you prefer a larger towel or hand towel, please bring one with you.听

Can I receive mail?
Mail Services are not available.

What should I bring?
Please keep in mind that the dormitory rooms are not hotel rooms. They have have a single-sized bed and the听linens and towel that will be provided to you will not be changed until you leave. Please bring your own toiletry items and extra pillow or towels if you听think you might need them:

Parking:听In an effort to decrease the carbon footprint on campus, alternatives to parking, such as use of public transportation, are strongly encouraged. However, if you require parking on campus this summer, please keep the following in mind:

Metered parking is available at the School of International Service (SIS) and at the Katzen Arts Center. The day rate is $16.00. Pay-As-You-Go machines accept cash and major credit cards and are located in the elevator lobbies of SIS and Katzen.

Monthly parking permits need to be purchased in advance from听Parking and Traffic Services. Any special requests or handicap parking permits must be accompanied by a doctor鈥檚 notice to Public Safety upon arrival to campus. All final requests for parking permits are due no less than two weeks prior to the start date of your conference program.

Phones:听There are no phones for guests to use in the residence hall.

What can I not bring?
Your safety is important. Due to the hazards associated with their use, the following appliances may not be present in residence hall rooms:

  • Personal air conditioners
  • Hoverboards
  • Grills (including George Foreman grills)
  • Halogen lamps
  • Immersion coals
  • Oil, kerosene, and gas lamps
  • Open-coiled appliances
  • Steam vaporizers
  • Waterbeds
  • Microwaves
  • Any appliance attached to multiple extension cords? These appliances may only be used in designated cooking areas or kitchens.
  • Coffee makers
  • Electrical appliances with heating elements
  • Hot pots
  • Popcorn poppers
  • Rice cookers
  • Toasters/Toaster ovens

Directions to 小蓝视频 from Reagan International:听Taxis and ride share services are always available, however, a cheaper alternative is the Super Shuttle shared van service. When you arrive at the Airport, follow the signs to ground transportation and look for the blue and yellow Super Shuttle reservations desk. Give them the address below.
