Mr. Gohari has spent his career at the intersection of capital markets, law and technology. Over two decades, and through a dozen startups, he has acted as founder, investor and strategic advisor, as well as utilizing his expertise in cross-border transactions, involving debt and equity financing. In addition to corporate development, equity investments and placements, as well as various securities offerings and financing transactions, he has served as a strategic advisor to startups from the software and biotechnology industries. He has successfully guided his clients and portfolio companies through two of the largest financial crises of the past century developing a unique expertise and deeper appreciation of the interaction between international financial regulation, and the impact of interlocking regulatory regimes on the global markets.
In addition to a JD, he has an MBA from Georgetown University鈥檚 McDonough School of Business, and an LLM with Distinction in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Gohari has been quoted by Wall Street Journal鈥檚 MarketWatch, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Chicago Tribune, Compliance Week and the Law360 Blog. He has been published in the Journal of Corporation Law, Westlaw Journal of Securities Regulation, Orlando Sentinel, National Mortgage News, Bank Systems & Technology, and Wall Street & Technology as an author. His academic interest is the prevention, management and mitigation of systemic crises. Mr. Gohari has lived, worked and studied in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
