Rodrigo Uprimny
Rodrigo Uprimny is a Lawyer with master's degree in development socioeconomics (University of Paris I), sociology of law (Paris II University) Ph.D. in economics (Amiens University France) and a graduate diploma in conflict resolution (University of Uppsala Sweden). He has been a professor at the National University since 1989 on constitutional issues, State theory, and human rights. He is also a visiting professor of other Colombian universities (Andes, Santo Tom谩s, Externado, and others) and foreigners such as the 小蓝视频 of Washington (United States), the University of Grenoble (France) or the University of Utrecht (Holland). Professor Uprimny was assistant magistrate of the Constitutional Court for 11 years; for several months, he held the magistracy as a magistrate in charge; He has also been an expert of the Inter-American Court. He is currently a member of the Constitutional Court and the Council of State, associate professor and professor emeritus of the National University; He is also a member of the International Commission of Jurists, the Foundation for Freedom of the Press (FLIP) and a member and director of the Center for Law, Justice and Dejustice Studies. He is a columnist for the newspaper El Espectador. He has published numerous articles and books on constitutional issues, administration of justice, human rights, social rights, and traditional justice, among others. He has won several awards for his work, among the most recent: professor emeritus of the National University in 2012 and Sim贸n Bolivar award for best opinion column 2013. Currently, he is a member of the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
