Expanded worldwide rights to research through the СÀ¶ÊÓƵWCL Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property’s advocacy and work in copyright reform, funded by United Kingdom-based Arcadia.
-
Fostered a more talented, inclusive learning environment through new and increased scholarships, building upon a legacy of inclusivity to engage unique perspectives and uphold a commitment to scholarly excellence, reflected in the highest admissions index for an entering 1L class in the college’s history.
-
Propelled experiential learning by launching the Environmental Social Governance Initiative, Sport and Society Initiative, and Dean’s Professional Certificate, broadening externship opportunities, and offering a fully operational nationally ranked number two clinical program.
СÀ¶ÊÓƵWCL was founded on principles of inclusivity and the belief that lawyers are essential to improving society. Under Dean Fairfax’s leadership, our law school achieved its highest academic index and ascended the national ranks to become number one in clinical programming while championing equity as one of the most diverse law schools in the country. Philanthropy has significantly advanced these efforts, positioning СÀ¶ÊÓƵWCL to lead programmatically and academically. As we embark on a trajectory of growth and innovation, we will build upon the legacy of Dean Roger Fairfax and the impact of the Change Can’t Wait campaign.Heather Hughes, Interim Dean, Washington College of Law
