Registration
Please note that the registration聽process differs for US Law Students (WCL JD and LLM students and students visiting from ABA-approved or state accredited law schools) and US and international attorneys and advanced law students from around the world.
u.s. law students:
- WCL JD聽or LLM聽Students may take summer courses for academic credit and聽do not require a special application.聽
- Visiting JD and LLM Students interested in academic credit聽must complete the Visiting Student Application through the Office of the Registrar website.
Summer in DC institute courses can be taken in conjunction with summer-long courses or in addition to an internship or externship. Registration for academic credit opens聽April 12, 2024. Please see the聽Academic Calendar聽for more information. Per ABA Standards, students taking courses for academic credit may register for up to 2 credits per week in condensed specialized courses regardless of their participation in full summer-length courses.
u.s. and international聽attorneys & advanced law students from around the world聽
U.S. and International聽Attorneys聽interested in specializing and earning a聽certificate, diploma or CLE聽will have the opportunity to join other public and private professionals from geographically and professionally diverse backgrounds in enriching exchanges and make lasting connections for the future.聽
Law Students from around the world will have the opportunity to experience American-style law school learning, including the opportunity to聽stay on campus聽and earn a Certificate of Completion.聽
